Biography
Hello, and thank you for visiting my website! I am a Theatrical Technician specializing in Electrics and Projections, and am currently under contract as Electrics Shop Manager at Actors Theatre of Louisville in Louisville, KY.

I first cultivated an interest in the performing arts at DeForest High School in DeForest, Wisconsin. The summer after my senior year, I landed my first job as an Audio-Video Technician for the local Parks and Recreation Department, and by then had also acted, directed, and stage-managed for school and community plays.
My experience with theatre technology began in earnest during my studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I worked with students in the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film on several productions as a Projections Designer, Master Electrician, and Lighting Designer. I also worked with several community and childrens' theatres on a freelance basis in a variety of roles. In 2014, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in Economics and Philosophy and a Minor in Theatre.

After graduating, I continued refining my skills as a Projections Designer in the community theatre scene in Madison, Wisconsin before being offered a touring position with Sesame Street Live: Make A New Friend. After a year and a half with VStar Entertainment, I left to work at Royal Caribbean Entertainment's rehearsal facility for five months before accepting a position at Actors Theatre of Lousiville for their 2017-2018 season. Over the years, I have also worked as a freelance Audio/Video and Theatrical Technician in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Florida.

Outside of the theatre world, I have worked in management, professional, and educational fields, honing skills in leadership, written and verbal communication, project planning, time management, and budgeting. I can readily spot trends, work diligently toward goals, and innovate with an understanding of broader context, which has made me an invaluable employee.

My love of live theatre has been encouraged and supported by friends, family, and mentors for my entire life. I hope that as time goes by I can continue to give back through teaching, inspiring, and collaborating with others who want to pursue theatre as a passion or as a career.
